Today, police told Melbourne Magistrates Court witnesses suggested Dylan John Closter, 18, had laughed and said "that's what we're here for" as he walked away from an unconscious Mr Cassai.
He then allegedly physically assaulted Mr Cassai and hit him three times, causing him to lose consciousness.
Closter was charged with manslaughter on Wednesday.
I have to agree with all the people who have left comments, and thank you for those comments. I've seen the pictures of Dylan Closters' father and friends leaving court .. geez.. they look like a motley lot. I think you can tell a lot about a person who calls women 'bitches' on his Facebook page. It might sound all black American and trendy, but in the end, just shows you the disrespect this bogan has for women and society in general.
I agree also that prison life will probably make him an even worse person, but what can you do. If he's found guilty, do you just want to smack him on the wrist because you don't want to send him to prison? At the end of the day, he is a product of his upbringing, and unfortunately society has to put up with this trash!
