I'm disgusted to read about a poor taxi driver who after stopping to pick up two male passengers, was attacked and had his throat slashed in a cowardly attack by a couple of young scumbags.
It appears they had bugger all money and had no intention of paying anyway, and after slashing the poor drivers throat (not fatally), they proceeded to steal money and other items from him. And then crash his taxi into a building.. they can't even drive properly!
What scumbag bogans could do this?? As most bogans are, they'd probably be under-educated, unemployed, lazy and probably learnt all these traits from their parents.
I hope the taxi drivers security camera's have good detailed footage of these pricks so they can be sentenced to a decent period in jail. In fact, sometimes when I read about scumbags like this, I wish we were like Iran, where they'd just be shot and buried.
Good riddance.
We put with far too much violence in Adelaide, and I'm sick of it. The courts are pissy and too airy fairy with lenient sentences because judges are swayed too easily with sob stories about poor upbringing, and alcoholic fathers and stuff. What bullshit. You do the crime, pay for it. Tough luck. When you're an adult, you know full well what is right and what is wrong.
The police on the ground need to start protesting to the government about sitting in police cars hidden behind trees catching drivers doing 65kmh on a downhill slope that's never had an accident on it, and start getting out there and catching these pricks. Taxi's also need foot operated alarms which call police .. there could have been a police car in the next street that could have caught these bastards. About time our lazy self centred government got its priorities right!

The bogan criminals in question have been caught, a 19 and a 20 year old. Woo Hoo .. OK, maybe shooting is a bit too much, but I'm thinking of at least 10 years each in jail. Just watch the press to see what rubbish the lawyer can dredge up to try and put these scumbags in a good light. "Oh Your Honour, my client has had a difficult life since birth and suffered immensely, he didn't know what he was doing as he was affected by alcohol and drugs and is unemployed". "It all just came to a head".
Yeah Right.
But they got the pricks anyway! Now lets just keep our fingers crossed the judge does the right thing.

ReplyDeleteI was a taxi Driver in Ontario and was held at knife point for over 40 minutes and had my neck slashed 3 quarters through missing my aorta artery less then a millimeter. He also cut my 2 fingers on my left hand to the bone doing major damage to the nerves n had to have the tendons reattached now I suffer PTSD and major neck and back pain all the time. My insurance refused to pay me since it wasn't a car accident and the guy who did this to me only got 7 years minus 2 for time served before court so he got 5 years and now he is back out on the street mean while I had to move cross the country lost total contact from my kids and family out there. he robbed me for a lousy 100 bucks This is so sick I can never work again and he is out free so next time you see a taxi driver praise them for the job they are doing.
