Cassandra Anne McKechnie, 20, James Cameron Dix, 22, and Damien Rochester, 22 - Adelaide Thugs

Cassandra McKechnie should be damned ashamed of herself. This thug was the catalyst that started a fight on a bus between her two drunken thug mates, James Dix & Damien Rochester and a group of innocent older men on the city bound bus.

I hope these dickheads get the maximum penalty and be thrown in jail for years. They won't of course because our criminal system is full of wusses, but they have got to pay the price for their thuggery.

I'm sick to death of this bogan uneducated culture that's developing in our younger people. They no longer have any pride in what they wear. They can't spell for peanuts. They have crap grammar, and to top it off, many employers don't want them because of their crap work ethic (I used to work with two younger blokes in late teens, early twenties. They were too lazy to get up earlier in the morning to shower!). OK, I know this is very generalised as there are a good percentage out there that do the right thing, and don't fall into this category. But I digress.

The woman that started it all, Cassandra McKechnie

Either way, justice has to be done and I only see jail as the right punishment. A 12 month stint should be enough to teach these thugs a lesson or two. It's a pity we can't go back to public shaming and have them on display in Victoria Square receiving a hundred lashes, then thrown in jail. Maybe a choice - 200 lashes with a whip, or 6 months jail - let the thug choose.

Damien Rochester

The other part is now three young people will have criminal records that will not allow them to work in the public service, (enter America on holidays) or work with the elderly or children. All jobs where you must have no criminal record. Hhmmm, maybe they should have thought how a criminal record is going to affect their futures.

Update 25/11/2013

Both Dix and McKechnie pleaded GUILTY in court and were sentenced to community service and subject to good behaviour bonds. Rochester is yet to be sentenced.

Update 25/1/2014

Damien Rochester, (see picture above) gets off with a pissy SUSPENDED SENTENCE. The judge should hang their head in shame! Just disgusting.

After the sentencing, Rochester posted on his Facebook page: "I GOT A SUSPENDED SENTENCE!! I had an angel watching over my back big time, and I will never be dealt another hand like this again. No more. I'M FREEEEEEEE. THANK YOU GOD."

Notice there is not a word of regret or even saying sorry to his victim .. OK, I'm only looking at this post, but I reckon I'd be right anyway.

No Rochester ... you didn't have an angel watching you ... the judge made the wrong decision! It's that simple.

And what's more, I'll bet you anything that within the next few years, you'll be back in front of a judge again!

  1. The person in the 2 pictures taken from the bus was the person that stopped the issue that was happening. How dare you put his face up and call him a thug.. Get your facts straight before you make a statement like that....

    4. I think you'll find that the only two people identified in the pictures are Damien Rochester and Cassandra McKechnie. Both McKechnie and Dix pleaded GUILTY... Enough said.

    1. Yeah how dare he do such a thing and call him a thug, but then again if you look at the picture the little boys pretending to be men have a malice look on their face, shooting at two older men? This generation has lost the plot, everyone needs to stop binge drinking and get your acts together, your brains are still developing and drenching it with copieus amounts of alcohol is the way to lose the plot.

      STOP THE BINGE DRINKING N00bs.

    2. You idiot ! The older guys blew 0.25 - 4 hours later ?? If you want to comment on shit...get your facts... you are a mindless ill-informed trouble maker !! I can only hope you do not have young children that use public transport !! Drunken old men....... you simpleton !

    3. To Anonymous 23rd November 2013 @ 20:14 comment.
By 'older' men, I presume you mean the victims? If so, I can find no mention anywhere of them being drunk, let alone blowing 0.25 four hours later. If you can find this source and copy /paste it as a comment, I am more than happy to amend the story to show this fact.

  5. You talk about what it has cost these young people ?? You say nothing of the fact that these "older men" were spastic !! 0.25 blood alcohol 4 hours later ?? Lewd comments....... would you let your child go on public transport ??? I think not !! If you are going to make an opinion from your closet...then please get all the facts !! The dribble you have published infers that maybe you were 0.25 % blood alcohol content at the time ?? Get a life...preferably...one more informed !!!

  6. " it must be said that the complainant group was severely and grossly intoxicated"... this has been copied directly from the sentencing records.. you can apologies when ever you are ready.. I have copied this page and you are seriously at risk of being sued for defamation of character.. I actually pity you because you find some sort of pleasure in talking about things you have actual no factual information..

    1. You appear to be a friend or relative to have your back up so much that you are blaming the victims. Didn't you learn in the school yard just because some one looks at you or makes a comment it gives you NO right to stomp on their heads and almost KILL them!!! You are unbelievable!

  9. Why did she spit on the victims?

    1. Good question. And why did she continue to stomp on his head while he was on the ground and defenceless? I think the simple answer is (besides thuggery of course!) DRUGS... and the violent effects it has on people. If it was simple alcohol intoxication her balance and coordination would have been impaired and she wouldn't have been able to land such precise blows. If they reckon the old fella's blood alcohol levels were a little over the top on AFL Grand Final day I'd be interested to know what a blood test would have shown up if done on the group of young people??????

  10. Poor Damien Rochester seems to be a very lonely disturbed person? Why did he get involved when he didn't know the victims OR the "alleged" "thugs"? and where was his support group in court? He was extremely violent without reason. I would feel much safer if this person was not walking our streets! Cassandra, Cassandra, Cassandra...what were you thinking?? get off the meth love! The elderly men may have had a few drinks and probably weren't completely blameless in the whole situation but they are someone's father and grandfather. Do you have a father and grandfather? I hope you do have remorse and can forgive yourself one day and move on, but it is unfortunate that when you become a mother you will not be able to join your kids in their classrooms, go on excursions with them, or help out with their sport. Try not to let it ruin the rest of your life, and be a better parent to your kids than your parents have been to you. James Dix was probably just defending his feral friend that spits on people so not really worth a mention. Just my opinion.

  11. It hasn't cost the "young people" anything . There has been no consequence at all for them so how will they ever learn right from wrong. Unless stronger sentencing is enforced this will continue to be a problem, people like this don't worry about where the line is between right and wrong as they know there is no price to pay when you cross it.
Interesting to see that Cassy Mc kechnie has landed herself a job at the Adelaide Oval serving booze to the punters ! She should not be allowed to have a "responsible persons licence" to serve alcohol, she doesn't know what responsible drinking is. Not great for the reputation of the place either to have an employee that has stomped on the head of a supporter on Grand Final Day, the association may be a bit close for comfort.
